Welcome to Valid Web Designs

Valid Web Designs was created to explain and teach;

This knowledge will enable you to create or maintain a website that uses Valid Standards Compliant Code.

What is valid code?

Valid code is HTML code that is error free. Valid code meets a particular criteria so that it complies with the well-defined standards set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Why use valid code?

  • Error free code will display faster than code full of errors
  • Valid code will generally display better in different browsers than invalid code
  • Valid code helps to insure pages display the way they are meant to be seen
  • Browsers are becoming more standards compliant, and it is becoming increasingly important for websites to have Valid Standards Compliant HTML
  • Valid code helps to make your pages accessible to more people and more devices
